I mean, Sussex Street’s dim sum spots are practically next door, and there’s this little hole-in-the-wall noodle place that locals queue up for every lunch. The apartment itself sits right in that sweet spot where you can walk to Circular Quay (about 15 minutes if you don’t mind the slight uphill trek back), but you’re not dealing with the tourist chaos every time you step outside.

What really surprised me was how quiet it actually stays inside, considering you’re on Hay Street. The windows do their job, and honestly, the street noise becomes more of a gentle city hum than anything disruptive. The three bedrooms are properly sized – not those shoebox situations you sometimes get in CBD apartments – and there’s actual storage space, which travelers always underestimate until they’re living out of suitcases for a week. The parking situation deserves its own mention because, well, it’s Sydney CBD and finding a spot normally costs more than most people’s rent. Having a dedicated space is legitimately game-changing. The “firework” part of the name makes sense during New Year’s or Australia Day – you get decent views of the harbor displays without fighting the crowds at the Opera House (though you’ll hear them celebrating, trust me).

Check-in was straightforward, the WiFi doesn’t cut out every five minutes, and the kitchen has everything you need if you want to cook instead of eating out for every meal.
