Look, I’ll be straight with you – this place on Sussex Street is one of those apartments that surprised me in the best way. When I first walked up to 339 Sussex, I was honestly expecting another generic rental situation, but stepping into this 3-bedroom setup actually felt like someone’s home rather than a sterile hotel room. The space is bigger than you’d think for CBD standards, and you know what really got me? The kitchen actually has proper counter space where you can spread out groceries from the Woolworths down the street without playing Tetris with your stuff.

The location thing is wild – I mean, two minutes to Darling Harbour sounds like marketing speak, but I timed it because I’m weird like that, and it’s legitimately a 90-second walk to the water. You step out the front door, hang a right toward the harbor, and boom, you’re watching the sunset over Cockle Bay. Chinatown is the same deal but in the opposite direction – Dixon Street’s dumplings are practically calling your name from the apartment. What I really love is how you’re tucked just far enough off the main George Street chaos that you don’t get the constant stream of late-night revelers, but close enough that everything’s walkable. The building itself sits on a corner that catches decent afternoon light, which honestly makes a difference when you’re staying somewhere for more than a night or two.

Here’s the thing about this place – it’s not trying to be fancy, and that works in its favor. The 7.6 rating makes sense because it delivers on the basics really well without any pretense. The beds are comfortable (I’m talking actually comfortable, not just “fine for a few nights”), and there’s enough space that if you’re traveling with friends or family, you’re not constantly bumping into each other. I particularly appreciated that the living area feels separate from the bedrooms – you can have morning coffee without waking everyone up, or stay up late without being that person. The neighborhood gets quiet around 10 PM on weeknights, but weekend evenings have this nice buzz from people heading to dinner in Chinatown or drinks at the harbor bars. Parking is city parking, which means expensive and limited, but honestly, you won’t need a car from this spot. The train station at Town Hall is a five-minute walk if you need to get anywhere the walking won’t cover, and the airport train connection is straightforward. This is the kind of place where you’ll find yourself picking up groceries and cooking dinner because the space actually invites it, then walking off your meal along the harbor afterward.

  I loved the location and the apartment had everything that we needed for our stay.
  It was clean and the instructions were easy to follow. Siya was very helpful and responsive when I had questions, thank you Siya. Also, there is a great Korean Restaurant down the road!! You really have access to great food, entertainment and shopping right around the corner!!

  Location was fantastic, close to Chinatown & Museum station. We loved the fact the apartment had 3 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms for our family. Enough room for us to spread out a little.
  
  What could be improved: The heating/cooling wasn't working. We tried to use the manual that was provided but still couldn't get it to work. We had to open the sliding door & windows to get some cool air in, but then that meant a lot of outside noise. Also, the dishwasher wasn't working either. If these couple of things worked, this place would easily be a 10/10 & I would highly recommend it.
