You know what hit me first about this place on Eton Street? The building itself – it’s one of those converted heritage gems that Sydney does so well, where someone clearly spent serious money getting the architectural details right. I mean, Camperdown isn’t exactly the flashiest suburb, but that’s actually part of the charm here. You’re tucked away from the tourist crowds yet still close enough to everything that matters.

The apartment itself is honestly impressive – and I say that as someone who’s stayed in plenty of places that call themselves “luxury” but feel more like fancy hotel rooms. This feels like someone’s actual home, if that someone happened to have impeccable taste and a serious budget. The kitchen isn’t just for show (you can actually cook in it, imagine that), and the living spaces have that perfect balance of looking Instagram-worthy while still being comfortable to sprawl out in after a long day exploring the city. The bathroom… well, let’s just say I may have lingered in that shower longer than strictly necessary. They’ve got the water pressure figured out, which honestly matters more than most people admit.

Location-wise, you’re in this sweet spot where you can walk to Sydney Uni in about ten minutes – great if you’re visiting for academic stuff or just want to wander through some gorgeous campus grounds. The cafes along King Street in Newtown are close enough that you’ll probably find yourself there for morning coffee, and honestly, that strip has some of the best casual dining in Sydney if you know where to look. Parking was surprisingly manageable for this part of town, though I’d still recommend checking the street signs carefully – Sydney’s parking inspectors don’t mess around. The Royal Prince Alfred Hospital is right there too, which I only mention because it means the area stays pretty well-lit and safe at night, plus there are always taxis and rideshares around.

What really sets this place apart is the attention to detail – the kind of stuff you only notice when you’re actually living in a space for a few days. The lighting actually works (you can read without squinting), there’s enough storage for your stuff, and the Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every time someone walks past the router. Small things, but they add up. The 9.5 rating makes sense when you experience it yourself – it’s not trying to be the flashiest place in Sydney, but everything just… works. And works well.

I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I wanted to experience Sydney more like a local than a tourist. Just maybe book early – places like this in neighborhoods that are still somewhat under the radar tend to fill up once word gets around.

  I booked accommodation near the University of Sydney for my daughter's graduation. The location was convenient, as it was within walking distance of the university. Additionally, it was close to Newtown, offering easy access to shopping and dining options. With both a bus stop and Newtown Station nearby, I was able to use public transportation to visit many of Sydney’s popular tourist attractions.

  This apartment was truly beautiful and had so much attention to detail. We loved getting to experience such a unique place to stay. Whilst we didn’t need it as we just stayed one night, the host has stocked the apartment with essentials. The location is great, 2 cafes just down the road and parking was easy to find.

  Wow what a fresh new and well designed apartment is has is a wonderful feel everything is new and the host is a pretty decent guy who did the renovations to bring this apartment to the level of quality and style it represents. For a couple or single traveller this is a must stay apartment for it's comfort and style and value i don't think you will find much that is better. 😉
