Burwood stunny apt with Parking Train&Shopping
Look, I’ll be straight with you about this place – the name “Burwood stunny apt with Parking Train&Shopping” is a bit of a mouthful (and honestly, whoever wrote that listing could use a spell-check), but don’t let that put you off because this little apartment actually delivers on what matters most when you’re staying in Sydney’s inner west.
The location on Railway Parade is genuinely brilliant if you know Burwood at all. You’re literally a two-minute walk from Burwood station, which means you can be in the city in about 20 minutes without dealing with Sydney’s nightmare traffic or parking fees. I mean, the train runs pretty frequently, and you know what? The morning commute isn’t too brutal from here since you’re going against the main flow of people heading into the city center. The shopping bit in the name isn’t just marketing fluff either – Westfield Burwood is right there, plus all those authentic Vietnamese and Lebanese places along Burwood Road that locals actually eat at. There’s this little bakery about three blocks down that does incredible banh mi, and the weekend markets near the station have proper fresh produce if you’re planning to cook.
The apartment itself is pretty standard three-star stuff – clean, functional, nothing fancy but everything works. The parking situation is actually clutch here because anyone who’s driven around Burwood knows it’s a nightmare to find a spot, especially near the station. The place feels lived-in rather than sterile (which I prefer, honestly), and the kitchen has everything you need if you want to grab groceries from the Coles downstairs at Westfield. One thing to note – since you’re on Railway Parade, there’s definitely some street noise, particularly during morning and evening rush when people are heading to and from the station. It’s not terrible, but light sleepers might want to pack earplugs. The walls are reasonably thick though, so you won’t hear much from neighboring units.
What really sold me on this spot was how it puts you right in the heart of actual Sydney life rather than tourist Sydney. Burwood’s got this great mix of families, students from the nearby campuses, and young professionals, so there’s always something happening but it’s not overwhelming. The host was pretty responsive when I had questions about the Wi-Fi setup, and check-in was smooth – they actually live nearby so none of that awkward key-lockbox fumbling. For the price point, especially with parking included, it’s honestly hard to beat if you want to explore beyond the CBD bubble. Sure, it’s not going to wow you with luxury touches or harbor views, but if you’re looking for a genuine base to explore Sydney’s diverse neighborhoods while staying connected to the city, this place gets the job done without breaking the bank.
You need to let the property know what time you'll be arriving in advance.
