You know what hit me first when I stepped into this Upper Pitt Street condo? The view just smacks you in the face – and I mean that in the best possible way. I’ve stayed in plenty of Sydney accommodations, but honestly, this harbour outlook from Kirribilli is something else entirely. You’re literally looking across at the Opera House and Harbour Bridge like they’re putting on a private show just for you.

The thing about this place is it sits in this perfect sweet spot where you feel like you’re in a proper neighborhood rather than some touristy bubble. Kirribilli’s got that village-y feel that most visitors never discover – there’s actually a decent coffee shop about two blocks down on Fitzroy Street that the locals queue up at every morning, and you can walk to Milsons Point station in maybe eight minutes if you don’t mind the slight uphill trek back. The building itself is pretty standard Sydney apartment block stuff, nothing fancy, but clean and well-maintained. I mean, it’s a 3-star setup so don’t expect marble countertops or anything, but the bones are solid and everything works like it should.

What really makes this spot work is how it balances that incredible location with actual livability. The condo feels like someone’s actual home rather than a sterile rental – there are proper cooking facilities (not just a sad hotplate), decent-sized rooms, and thank god, proper curtains that actually block out the morning light when you want to sleep in. The ferry to Circular Quay is practically at your doorstep, which honestly beats dealing with Sydney traffic any day of the week. I stayed here during a busy February weekend and while you can hear some street noise from Upper Pitt Street during the day, it settles down pretty nicely at night. The only minor gripe I’d have is that parking can be a bit of a mission – street parking is mostly resident permits, so you might need to hunt around the side streets or factor in parking costs if you’re driving. But here’s the thing – once you’re settled in with that view and realize you can walk to Luna Park, catch a ferry to the city, or just sit on the balcony with a wine watching the harbour lights come on, you sort of forget about everything else. It’s not luxury accommodation, but it’s the kind of place where you actually want to hang around rather than just crash between sightseeing sessions.

  Fabulous location and view of the bridge and harbour. It is super easy to get to Circular Quay from Kirribilli Wharf. The apartment is charming and comfortable.

  A beautiful spotless apartment on Sydney Harbour with a magnificent view that you can’t pull yourself away from the balcony. We are so glad we chose to stay here instead of a boring hotel in the city which we would’ve had to pay so much more for and we wouldn’t have this view. The apartment is on top floor in an older building with no lift but beautifully maintained and spotlessly clean. Highly recommend 10/10

  Perfecte locatie met openbaar vervoer (trein en veerpont) op loopafstand. Het uitzicht is schitterend! De gastvrouw is communicatief en reageert snel op verzoeken.
