Bondi Studio With Beach Views From Rooftop Pool
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw “Bondi Studio” I was expecting some cramped shoebox with maybe a sliver of ocean view if you crane your neck just right. But this place on Bondi Road actually surprised me. You walk into unit 803 and yeah, it’s a studio, but there’s something about the way they’ve set it up that doesn’t feel claustrophobic at all. The real magic happens when you take the elevator up to that rooftop pool though – I mean, you’re literally floating above one of Sydney’s most famous beaches with this incredible panoramic view that stretches from the headland all the way down the coast.
What I love about the location is that you’re just far enough back from the Campbell Parade madness to actually get some sleep, but close enough that you can still hear the ocean if you open the windows at night. The building sits on that stretch of Bondi Road where you’ve got the fancy coffee places mixing with the old-school fish and chips joints – honestly, there’s this little Vietnamese place about two blocks down that locals queue up for every morning. The rooftop pool is where this place really shines though. Most people think they need to stay right on the beachfront, but you know what? From up there, you get the view without the crowds camping outside your door. I spent way too many evenings up there with a bottle of wine, watching the surfers catch the last waves while the sun dropped behind the city skyline.
The studio itself has that clean, modern feel without being sterile – good blackout curtains (crucial in Bondi where the sun hits early), decent air conditioning that actually works, and a kitchenette that’s more functional than most hotel setups. Parking can be a bit of a dance around there, but that’s Bondi for you. The whole area gets pretty lively on weekends, especially during summer, but the building’s solid enough that you won’t be kept awake by street noise. Check-in was smooth, and the building has that secure entry thing that makes you feel comfortable leaving your stuff. Really though, it’s that rooftop that makes this place special – there’s something about starting your day with a quick swim while looking out over Bondi Beach that just sets the right tone. It’s not the Ritz, but for the price point and that view, it’s honestly hard to beat in this part of Sydney.
You need to let the property know what time you'll be arriving in advance.
