Hotel Description
Look, I’ll be honest with you – when I first walked into this Bondi Beach studio, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But you know what? Sometimes the best discoveries come when your expectations are pretty low. The space is compact (I mean, it’s a studio, so obviously), but whoever designed this place actually gets what travelers want. There’s this clever little setup where everything feels deliberate rather than cramped, and the fact that you can literally hear the waves from your bed… well, that’s worth something.
The location is honestly the star here. You’re maybe a two-minute walk to the actual sand – not one of those “beachfront” places that’s actually three blocks away. I loved stepping out in the morning and hitting up the Sunday markets at Bondi Beach Public School, then grabbing a flat white from one of those hole-in-the-wall cafes on Hall Street that locals actually frequent. The Bondi to Coogee coastal walk starts practically at your doorstep, which is perfect if you’re into that whole sunrise exercise thing (or sunset drinks, no judgment). Fair warning though – weekends get absolutely mental around here, especially in summer. The street noise isn’t terrible, but you’ll definitely know when the bars on Campbell Parade are hitting their stride.
What really won me over was the attention to practical stuff that most places completely ignore. The shower pressure is actually decent (miracle!), there’s enough counter space to spread out your toiletries without everything falling into the sink, and they’ve got blackout curtains that actually work – crucial when you’re dealing with jetlag or those brutal summer sunrises. The kitchenette situation is pretty standard studio fare, but honestly, with places like Fishbowl and Guzman y Gomez literally around the corner, you’re not exactly roughing it. Parking can be a bit of a nightmare during peak season – the street spots are gold, and the paid lots aren’t cheap – but if you’re planning to walk everywhere anyway, it’s not a deal-breaker. The building itself feels safe and well-maintained, nothing fancy but solid. Check-in was smooth, no drama there. I’d say the 7 rating is about right – it’s not going to blow you away, but it delivers exactly what it promises without any nasty surprises. For the price point and that location, especially if you’re the type who wants to fall asleep to ocean sounds without paying resort prices, this little studio hits the sweet spot.

Awesome location, you‘re paying basically for that – Constanze from Germany – 25 March 2024 (7/10)
Description of how to get the key was perfect!
Location is amazing
Nice basics to use in the kitchen
Good and comfy bed
What could be improved: Both locks (frontdoor and to the apartment) were kind of funny, made it a bit tricky to get to open up the doors.
No AC?
The building is kind of worn down. Apartment itself is alright, luxury might be a bit of a stretch though.
Laundrymachine is not in the same apartment, don’t plan on washing your stuff here, as I did. 😉A really great first couple of nights on your first holiday in a log time – Zoë from United Kingdom – 14 March 2024 (8/10)
The vibe was really nice and good aesthetic
What could be improved: The vacuum didn’t work so we couldn’t get rid of the sand very well. It was extremely humid but understandable in the climateDisappointing not a luxury experience – Fiona from Australia – 8 January 2024 (4/10)
The room itself is lovely. Beautifully decorated and true to it pictures. The location in North Bondi was excellent however the general group of units in the building and the building itself was shabby and uncared for
What could be improved: The common entry was dilapidated, paint peeling and dirty. The laundry is old, rusty and I would not use it. The common laundry is next to the apartment so the noise is high. The building is run down and a mix people staying. We had a group above us who were loud until another group yelled at them to shut up. When the upstairs apartment had showers or used the toilet the water running would reverberate in our apartment. The building is poorly sound proof so you get noise from other tenants. It felt like we were staying in a lovely room but in the middle of a hostel. As a result the experience did not feel luxurious and we were very tired coming home. Really disappointed particularly at $580 per night.
What could be improved: Das Haus ist in Flur und Treppenahus schon arg mitgenommen. Im unteren Apartement hat man überhaupt keinen Bezug zur Umwelt – im Nachbarhaus ist das Licht immer an und somit ist es immer hell in diesem Apartement. Keine Klima ist bei 38° auch ein bischen schwierig.Superb – Ivana from Australia – 14 December 2023 (9/10)
