This 3-bedroom place on Victoria Street genuinely delivers on those promised vistas, and honestly, that’s what sold me from the moment I walked in. You’re right in Malabar, which – if you don’t know Sydney well – sits on this gorgeous stretch of coast where you can watch the Pacific stretch out endlessly. The apartment itself has this lived-in comfort that somehow manages to feel both spacious and cozy, which is harder to pull off than you’d think.

What I really appreciated was how the place strikes this balance between being polished enough for a proper holiday but not so pristine that you’re afraid to actually use anything. The kitchen’s properly equipped (I mean, you can actually cook here, not just reheat leftovers), and the bedrooms are sized like people actually need space for their stuff. The whole setup works whether you’re traveling with family or splitting it between friends – there’s enough room to spread out without feeling like you’re living on top of each other. And those views I mentioned? They’re particularly spectacular around sunset, when the light hits the water just right and you remember why people move to Sydney in the first place.

The location’s one of those spots where you feel like you’ve discovered something locals know about. Victoria Street itself is quiet enough that you’re not dealing with constant traffic noise, but you’re not stranded either – Little Bay’s just down the road, and if you know anything about Sydney’s lesser-known beaches, you’ll understand why that matters. Parking’s actually manageable here, which anyone who’s tried to navigate Sydney’s eastern suburbs will tell you is practically a miracle. I found the whole area has this relaxed, almost village-like feel that’s completely different from the tourist circus around Bondi or Manly. You’ve got decent coffee within walking distance (always crucial), and the coastal walk that connects through to La Perouse is honestly one of the city’s best-kept secrets. The 8.3 rating makes sense when you consider you’re getting genuine value – not just a bed and a bathroom, but an actual base where you can settle in and experience Sydney like you’re temporarily living here rather than just passing through.

  Really enjoyed our stay at this property. Lovely views, relaxing and comfortable beds, good facilities and delightful location. It was perfect for our holiday.
  
  What could be improved: It would be great to see some blinds or curtains installed on the front windows, as the aspect made it very hot on a summer day.

  Great location! Beautiful views from the apartment, it was a pleasure to be there. I loved how spacious the place was, and the neighbourhood was very quiet. The bed was very comfortable and I loved to have additional blankets for cosy warmth. Amazing selection of teas for tea lovers, quick and reliable wifi and of course – very kind host! I'm very happy with my choice, thank you for making my one day stay in Sydney a pleasant and good experience.
  
  What could be improved: A tiny detail for health conscious people – I know margarines and spreadable "butters" are an easier choice, but I would have loved to see real butter for breakfast!

  Views of the property are really amazing. Bedrooms are comfortable. Apartment was clean. Communication with hostess was easy and friendly. She was very attentive.
  
  What could be improved: No parking, no air conditioning. Be mindful of the steps to get to the property as it’s located uphill. We had a few luggages and it was challenging. Shower could get a deep clean with bleach.

  We bought our breakfast from a local shop which was very convenient and cooked ourselves. Local shops are only 7 minutes walk and had everything available, smoked salmon and eggs plus bread and milk, and all the fruits.
  
  What could be improved: My bedroom window kept on shaking and something was bashing from outside making so much noise because of the sea wind that I could not sleep. Take your sleeping tabs with you.
