Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of Airbnbs around Sydney, and this place on Banks Avenue genuinely surprised me. The name’s a bit of a mouthful – honestly, it sounds like someone threw every amenity into the title – but you know what? They actually deliver on all of it. The apartment itself is this ground-floor unit that’s way more spacious than the photos suggest, with a living area that actually feels like you can spread out and relax, not just exist in.

What really sold me was the building’s facilities, and I mean this in the best way possible – it’s like staying at a resort but with the freedom of having your own space. The gym isn’t some tiny room with a broken treadmill; it’s properly equipped and hardly anyone uses it early morning, which is perfect if you’re trying to avoid crowds. The jacuzzi and sauna combo is where I spent most of my evenings, especially after walking around the CBD all day. There’s something about that wet heat that just melts away the jet lag. The pool area has this garden setting with a BBQ that the building actually maintains well – I grilled some prawns from the nearby shops and it felt like having a proper Australian backyard experience without the maintenance headaches.

The location’s pretty clever too, actually. Banks Avenue isn’t one of those streets tourists usually know about, but you’re close enough to Mascot that getting to the airport is stupid easy, and there are decent cafes within walking distance that locals frequent. The apartment sleeps five comfortably if you don’t mind the pull-out situation in the living room – I had friends crash for a weekend and it worked perfectly. Parking was straightforward, which anyone who’s driven in Sydney will tell you is basically a miracle. The building’s quiet at night, probably because it’s mostly residents rather than constant turnover, so you actually get proper sleep. My only minor gripe is the kitchen could use a proper coffee machine – the instant stuff just doesn’t cut it after a few days – but there’s a café down the street that does excellent flat whites if you’re willing to walk five minutes. Honestly, for the price point and what you get access to, especially those facilities, it’s one of those places you’d book again without hesitation.

  The apartment was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed, making it a perfect home away from home. The location was ideal, with easy access to everything the city has to offer. A special thanks to Olga, who was incredibly helpful and accommodating throughout my stay. Her coordination made everything smooth and stress-free.
