Honestly, I walked into this place expecting just another decent hotel on Pittwater Road, but All about location! actually lives up to its name in ways that surprised me. The first thing you notice isn’t the lobby (though it’s perfectly fine) – it’s that you’re right in the sweet spot of this whole area. I mean, you’re literally a few minutes from Brookvale’s shopping hub, but far enough from the main drag that you’re not hearing traffic all night.

The staff here – and I know this sounds like something every review says – genuinely seem to know the neighborhood. When I asked about getting to Manly without dealing with weekend beach traffic, the guy at the front desk didn’t just point me toward the obvious route. He actually sketched out this back way through Allambie Heights that saved me probably twenty minutes. That’s the kind of local knowledge you don’t get at the big chain places. The rooms themselves are what you’d expect from a solid 4-star spot, nothing fancy but everything works properly. The beds are actually comfortable (you know how hotel beds can be hit or miss), and the shower pressure is decent – I’ve stayed at supposedly fancier places where you’re standing there waiting for the water to do something. What really got me was how quiet it stays at night, considering you’re on a pretty busy road during the day.

Here’s what I really appreciated though – the parking situation is straightforward, which anyone who’s driven around Sydney knows is basically a miracle. No weird validation systems or hunting for spaces three blocks away. And if you’re planning to explore the northern beaches, you’re positioned perfectly. Dee Why is like ten minutes away, Manly’s fifteen if traffic cooperates, and you can actually get to the city without wanting to throw your car keys into the harbor. The breakfast setup is solid too – not some sad continental spread, but actual options that’ll get you started for the day. I spent a week here during what turned out to be a pretty busy period (school holidays, should have thought that through), and the place never felt chaotic or understaffed. The cleaning crew keeps things tidy without being intrusive, and honestly, after staying at places where housekeeping feels like a home invasion, that balance matters more than you’d think. Look, if you’re trying to experience Sydney from somewhere other than the tourist central areas but still want decent amenities and people who know what they’re doing, this spot delivers. It’s not going to be the highlight of your trip, but it’s going to make everything else easier – and sometimes that’s exactly what you need.

  Spacious and comfortable apartment close to manly . I stayed with my 3 kids and 2 of them slept comfortably across the large sofa bed. We were visiting friends in Sydney so didn't spend much time in the apartment but it suited us well.
  
  What could be improved: The only downsides were some traffic noise (which I was expecting) and a slightly tricky driveway access off a busy road. All in all I think it was good value for accommodation in this area
