Hotel Description
You know what caught me off guard about the Adina Apartment Hotel? It’s actually in this perfect spot where Kent and Bathurst meet, and I mean perfect in the sense that you’re right in the thick of things but not drowning in tourist chaos. When I walked up, honestly, the building itself looked pretty sleek – sort of modern without being too flashy or trying too hard, if that makes sense.
The whole apartment-style setup really works here. I mean, you’ve got proper kitchenettes with decent counter space (not those tiny hotel corner things), and the living areas actually feel like… well, living areas. The windows are generous, so you get good light during the day, and if you’re lucky enough to snag a higher floor, the city views are pretty solid. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stayed at night – you’d think being right on Kent Street would mean constant traffic noise, but the soundproofing is actually quite good. The staff seemed to know their stuff too; check-in was smooth, and when I had questions about getting to Circular Quay, they gave me the kind of directions that showed they actually walk these streets.
Location-wise, this is where it really shines. You’re literally a three-minute walk to Town Hall station, which sounds obvious given the name, but it’s one of those things you don’t fully appreciate until you’re hauling luggage around Sydney’s hills. Darling Harbour is right there – maybe a seven-minute stroll – and you can easily walk to the Opera House if you don’t mind a pleasant 15-minute walk through the city. The Queen Victoria Building is practically next door, which is handy for both shopping and just admiring the architecture. There’s also this little laneway coffee scene happening around here that most tourists miss, especially down toward George Street. Parking can be tricky if you’re driving (street parking is pretty much a nightmare), but there are a few paid lots nearby, and honestly, you probably won’t need a car anyway. The whole setup just works – you’re close enough to everything that matters but far enough from the real touristy madness around the harbor that you can actually breathe. With a 9.3 rating, it’s clearly doing something right, and after staying there, I get why people keep coming back.

Air con was very cold for winterA great stay for family in a good location with well designed spaces throughout. – Efyherr from Malaysia – 11 July 2025 (10/10)
The location was very convenient. Just 10 minute walk to Darling Harbor. Close to Chinatown with plenty of options for restaurants, bars, malls, supermarket, entertainment centres and even a cinema close by. Our two-bedroom apartment was large, wonderfully designed (recently renovated), lovely interiors and very comfortable. Having a kitchen and laundry plus drying machines was super.
What could be improved: Not very much! The temperature controls were a little tricky to use, but we made do. The laundry machine leaked a little, but it was in the bathroom area, so it was not an issue.Overall, this was a perfect stay at Adina Town Hall. I would highly recommend this stay to others! – Kristy from Australia – 11 July 2025 (10/10)
It has been beautifully renovated and was exceptionally clean. The location was perfect, just a 2 minute walk to the light rail and train. The beds were very comfortable and the apartment was nice and spacious.
Overall, it was a pleasant stay given the quality of accommodation, room rate and location – Impala from Australia – 10 July 2025 (8/10)
Room / bathroom was modern and very functional.
What could be improved: Heater was being used in the hallway for an adjacent room and was left on all night and was very loud. Staff should have been aware to turn this machine off at an appropriate timewill come again – Louise from Australia – 9 July 2025 (10/10)
