Adina Apartment Hotel Bondi Beach Sydney
Look, I’ve stayed at plenty of places in Bondi, and the Adina Apartment Hotel on Hall Street is honestly one of those spots that gets it right without trying too hard. You know what I mean? It’s tucked away just enough that you’re not dealing with the chaos of Campbell Parade, but you’re still maybe a three-minute walk to the actual beach – which, let’s be real, is all anyone cares about when they’re in Bondi.
The apartment setup is actually brilliant here. I mean, most hotels give you a bed and a tiny desk, but these guys understand that people want to live a bit, especially if you’re staying more than a couple nights. The kitchenettes are properly equipped too – not just a mini fridge and a prayer. I made coffee every morning (decent machine, not one of those pod things that taste like cardboard) and actually cooked a few meals, which saved me from eating $25 avocado toast every single day. The grocery store is literally around the corner on Curlewis Street, so you can grab supplies without planning a whole expedition. The apartments themselves feel more like someone’s well-designed flat than a hotel room – good lighting, actual storage space, and windows that open properly, which is surprisingly rare these days.
What really sold me though was the whole vibe of the place. The staff at check-in knew their stuff about the area – they pointed me toward the quieter end of the beach for morning swims and mentioned that the Sunday markets at the school were worth hitting up. The building itself sits on this slight hill, so some of the upper rooms have these sneaky ocean glimpses between the other buildings. It’s not full-on water views, but you catch these little blue slices that remind you where you are. The rooftop area is pretty solid too, especially in the late afternoon when the light hits everything just right. I spent more time up there than I expected, honestly – it’s one of those spaces that feels calm without being boring. Parking was straightforward (they’ve got their own spots, which is gold in Bondi), and the neighborhood gets properly quiet after about 10 PM, so you’re not dealing with drunk backpackers stumbling around outside your window all night. The whole Hall Street area has this residential feel that’s way more relaxed than staying right on the main drag, but you’re still close enough to walk to Icebergs or catch the coastal walk whenever you want. That 8.8 rating makes total sense – it’s the kind of place that handles the basics really well and throws in just enough extra touches to make you want to come back.
Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card at check-in.
