You know what struck me first about this place on Bryant Street? It’s actually quiet – and I mean properly quiet, not just “quiet for Sydney” quiet. Which honestly surprised me because you’re literally ten minutes from the airport and even closer to the train station. The apartment sits in this sort of residential pocket in Rockdale that most people just drive through without noticing, but it’s exactly what you want when you need to catch an early flight or you’re dragging yourself off a red-eye.

The setup is pretty straightforward – two bedrooms, two bathrooms, which works perfectly if you’re traveling with friends or family and don’t want to do that awkward sharing-a-bathroom dance. The kitchen’s got everything you’d actually use (not just a sad little kettle and some instant coffee), and honestly, after eating airport food or restaurant meals for days, being able to make proper breakfast or grab leftovers from the fridge feels like luxury. The living area’s comfortable enough that you’ll actually want to hang out there instead of just collapsing on the bed. The whole place has this lived-in feel – not sterile like a hotel room, but not cluttered either.

Here’s the thing about the location that the booking sites don’t really explain – you’re in this sweet spot where you can walk to the train station in about eight minutes (I timed it), but you’re also right near Brighton-Le-Sands beach, which most visitors have no idea exists. It’s not Bondi, obviously, but it’s this lovely stretch where locals actually go, and there’s decent coffee shops along the strip. The grocery store is close enough that you can grab supplies without needing a car, though parking’s pretty easy if you do have one. I mean, it’s street parking, but it’s not the nightmare you’d expect closer to the city center.

The 7.8 rating feels about right – it’s not going to blow your mind, but it does exactly what it promises without any nasty surprises. The WiFi works, the beds are comfortable, and the whole place just feels… well, normal in the best way. I’d definitely stay here again, especially for those times when you need to be near the airport but don’t want to pay ridiculous hotel prices or deal with the chaos of staying right in the terminal area.

  Air Conditioning of the living room has a smell, we had to give up using it
  A bathroom is so tiny that I could not use the functions properly. No air ventilation, you have to open the window to
  ventilate air or steam out even though outside temperature is low.
  The bedroom sound proof is not good. You can hear the rain dropping on the roof outside the bedroom when sleeping

  The building is quite old and the parking place is dark and had paddles of water on the ground

  The property is in a very convenient location, near the markets, train station, restaurants etc. It was equipped with almost all expected and new appliances, clean and well maintained. The view from the balcony was amazing! Communication and key arrangements were remarkably good. Like the property much.
