Hotel Description
So I stumbled across this place called “2Bds& DarlingH&FishM Super Cozy” (yeah, the name’s a bit of a mouthful – honestly, it sounds like someone ran out of character space when typing it), and you know what? It actually lives up to that “super cozy” part. Tucked away on Miller Street in Pyrmont, this little 3-star spot has that lived-in feeling that makes you forget you’re technically staying in someone else’s space.
The thing about Pyrmont is – well, if you know Sydney at all – you’re basically sitting in this perfect pocket between the city buzz and the harbor calm. I mean, you can walk to Darling Harbour in maybe ten minutes (the fish market’s right there, hence probably half the name), but Miller Street itself has this quieter, almost residential vibe that’s pretty rare for something this close to everything. The building’s got that converted warehouse feel that’s everywhere in this area, but inside it’s been done up with actual thought. The two-bedroom setup works really well if you’re traveling with friends or family – none of that cramped hotel room nonsense where everyone’s stepping on each other.
What struck me most was how the place manages to feel genuinely homey without being shabby. The kitchen’s actually functional (shocking, I know), and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase. The 7.2 rating makes sense – it’s not trying to be the Shangri-La, but it delivers on what it promises. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, and the person who met us actually gave useful local tips, not just the standard tourist brochure stuff. Fair warning though: if you’re driving, parking around here can be a bit of a dance, especially during weekdays when the office crowd’s around. But honestly, you probably won’t need a car much – the light rail stops are walkable, and there’s something nice about just wandering through Pyrmont’s streets, especially toward the water. The area gets this lovely golden light in the late afternoon that makes even the most ordinary corner feel special. It’s the kind of place where you end up staying in more than you planned, ordering takeaway from the Thai place down the street, and actually enjoying the fact that you’re not rushing around trying to see everything at once.

Reviews
Loved our Sydney visit – Kristie from Australia – 10 June 2025 (8/10)
Loved the space we had great super close to the supermarket and relitevly close to the harbour.
Great kitchen everything you need, lots of lounge seating
What could be improved: We needed a couple of spare towels for 5 ppl and being there 3 days we found it alittle light on but no big deal at all really!Pleasant and very handy for a group of four. Good value for one night but probably Wouldn’t stay longer – Julie from Australia – 18 May 2025 (7/10)
Great location
What could be improved: Could do with a bit of attention. Lounge spring broken, mouldy blinds. No spare sheets. Stale air smell.Very good – Gary from United States – 1 December 2024 (8/10)
Host is responsive. Location is great. Great value.
What could be improved: The shower drain does not drain quickly. The bathroom floor will be flooded.Felt like budget accommodation for a premium price – Sandra from United Kingdom – 24 November 2024 (6/10)
Easy check-in process, lots of cafés and restaurants in the vicinity, easy to get to from airport.
What could be improved: Really uncomfortable mattresses on the two single beds (you could feel every spring), broken toilet seat, broken light shade, bathroom floor got wet when using shower. Steep stairs to bedrooms so we left all our luggage downstairs. We messaged the hosts at 7:45 am (it was on a Saturday) and we had no response by the time we needed to check out at 10 am.Very good – Alistair from United Kingdom – 11 November 2024 (8/10)
Location
What could be improved: Uncomfortable beds, very dated and lack of storage space if stopping over for more than one night
Grubby old windows, no curtains over from windows and had to hang a sheet over the curtain rail.
Total revamp is required on this propertyLovely terrace house in a fantastic location – Helen from Australia – 1 March 2025 (9/10)
This terrace house is in a great location. There are shops and restaurants very close by and it was an easy walk into the centre of Sydney. The property was comfortably furnished and equipped with everything needed for our 1 week stay.
What could be improved: As a few people have said the stairs are indeed steep so I would not recommend the property to anyone with mobility issues but for us it was fine.Great bang for buck – Jacob from Australia – 23 January 2025 (10/10)
Property was great location, cozy and cute place
What could be improved: Nothing, property was greatGreat location and comfortable place to stay – D-marie from Australia – 30 September 2024 (9/10)
Location, location, location. For anything in near or around The Star or Lyric theatre, this place is very central. Most of the furnishings were in good shape. Bedding was comfortable and the owner was really amazing to contact and helped us out with parking locations as well.
What could be improved: The lack of sound insulation, mainly coming from the windows and old “circulation vents” in the walls, which is typical for the vintage of the place. Bathroom and blinds could use a little TLC, but it was good enough for the duration of the stay. Despite these, would happily consider staying there again. 😁Exceptional – Mr from Australia – 20 August 2024 (10/10)
Cute and cosy.
Overall it is a comfy house, and a great location. I enjoyed the stay but there desperately needs attention to be payed – Matthew from Australia – 23 June 2025 (5/10)
Great location for shops and food and it’s a good distance to the tram lines to get other places quickly. It’s cosy for a small group
What could be improved: While we knew it was going to be couch sleeping for some of us (4 beds/2 couches), the quality of the couches is low. The bathroom had a lot of black mould on the curtains and the first heater we went to plug in almost cost us our trip as the plug was already half melted and burnt. A few of the power points also had no power running to them at all.
